Recognizing leaders in the Ottawa wedding industry, the Ottawa Wedding Awards were held on May 10, 2018. Comprised of People’s Choice and Platinum Awards, the event attracted over 500 attendees and included vendors from all aspects of the bustling wedding industry in the Nation’s Capital. The photography category saw over 60 vendors vying for top-billing in the prestigious Platinum Awards division which were chosen by juried experts and photographers from across Canada. Mitch Lenet Weddings captured awards in two of six available categories:
- Best Unique Wedding Photo 2018
- Best Couple Shot 2018
With a flair for creating photographs that allow couples to relive the feelings evoked during their weddings rather than only capturing standard stills, the Mitch Lenet Weddings team has won countless awards and is considered one of the top wedding photographers in Ottawa and surrounding areas. What makes the receipt of two Platinum Awards from the Ottawa Wedding Awards unique is being honoured among peers and competitors in an industry that is growing exponentially.
The Ottawa Wedding Awards has been growing each year, seeing over 500 people at this year’s event. As the wedding industry in Ottawa and surrounding areas continues to expand, winning awards in both the People’s Choice and Platinum Awards categories is getting increasingly difficult. As the name would suggest, the People’s Choice Awards are “fan favourites” and dependent on votes from peers and the general public. The Platinum Awards however, are judged by five industry experts who have the knowledge and expertise to select the “best of the best”. To give you a gauge for the prestige of these awards, Mitch Lenet Weddings shares their spotlight with former winners such as Fairmount Chateau Laurier, East Cost Limousine, The Weston and Mill St Pub.
